Microsoft has had a rough go of it in the tablet business so far. They brought their Surface and Surface Pro tablets out to little fanfare and fewer sales after Apple and Google had entered the arena with long head starts and strong products. It didn’t help that reviewers were fairly lukewarm to Microsoft’s offerings. But it appears that the Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 tablets are faring better. Mashable reports that many retailers are selling as many as they can get their hands on.
The reporter found Microsoft’s online store and Walmart online both sold out. He also called Best Buys across the country and didn’t find any in stock either.
It’s too early to tell if Microsoft has turned a corner with their tablet line, but for people in the market for new tablets, you might want to check out the Surface and Surface Pro lineup–if you can find one in stock, that is.
