Apple has just updated their iWork suite of apps for Mac (which are analogous to Microsoft Office) and delivered a number of improvements. One of the most notable new features is better compatibility with Office.
Why does this matter? The iWork apps are only $20 apiece, or free with the purchase of a new Mac. So if you have a Mac and you don’t want to spend upwards of $100 on Microsoft Office, you can send or share documents with the Windows world without worrying that your documents will lose precious formatting.
You can even take a file created in iWork and turn it into a password protected Office file, which is great for sharing sensitive documents.
