The search for Microsoft’s Microsoft CEO may be over, says Bloomberg. The executive likely to replace departing CEO Steve Ballmer is Satya Nadella, who is currently the enterprise and cloud chief. The company’s board is also considering thinking about replacing Bill Gates as chairman. This all comes “according to people with knowledge of the process.”
In the company’s history, it has only had two CEOs: Gates and Ballmer. Gates co-founded Microsft and led it as its software–primarily Windows and Office–conquered the computing world in the ’90s. Bloomberg says that even if Gates steps down as chairman, he may still have a say in the company.
