Just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be more Office news, it just keeps coming. It’s actually pretty cool that the world of Office is getting so many updates nowadays — if you’re into that sort of thing, anyway.
The latest headline, via Google, is that if someone emails an Office document to your Gmail account, you can edit it directly in Gmail, without even opening an MS Office or Google app.
To do it, just hover your mouse over the document icon in your email and click the pen icon. This will convert the document and open it in Google Docs. If you’d rather not do convert it to the Google format and you’re using the Chrome browser, you can install this extension.
