Heads Up: You Can Still Upgrade to Windows 10 for Free

When Microsoft launched Windows 10, it told customers they had six months to upgrade from Windows 7 or 8 for free. That meant that everyone who upgraded by July 29, 2016 would get Windows 10 for free, and everyone who upgraded later would have to pay. Well, July 2016 has long since passed, but even if you missed the window, you’re not out in the cold. According to ZDNet, the upgrade path still works as of January 2017. To get started, head over to Microsoft’s site and download Windows 10.
